Question: Private ethereum testnet on ARM(Raspberry pi's)
Hi guys, I have a pi4 cluster and its running k3s(kubernetes lightweight). I was wondering if i could deploying a private blockchain network within my k3s cluster with an ARM architecture? Does anyone has any up-to-date helm charts for this? I can't find anything related to ethereum private networks on ARM.
Hi everyone! I'm during development of ERC-20 token support for some exchange (exchange written in Java) and would like to have ability to write strong unit tests. I'm using geth + web3j and I need to write tests that simulates different behaviors like blockchain forks. How to achieve this goal? It would be great to be able to mint new blocks from Java (Proof of Authority?) and have it all inside Docker container. Maybe there are some ready to use solution? If no, I can create such container, but also have problem to understand how to run Ethereum in Proof of Authority mode and how to mint new blocks.
We are AVA Labs, The Team Behind Athereum, an experimental Ethereum Testnet powered by Avalanche Consensus. Ask us Anything.
Hello, ethereum, we're the team from AVA Labs, responsible for the Athereum testnet. Athereum is an experimental Ethereum testnet that uses the Avalanche consensus protocol underneath to enable some fascinating things. Athereum is a spoon (friendly fork) of Ethereum that will have a 1:1 ratio with ETH. This isn’t a contentious fork. We are simply porting over the Ethereum state at a to-be-determined block height. All existing Ethereum holders will have access to ATH equal to the current amount of ETH they hold in their wallets. No additional coins are being created, and no new coins will be minted after the spoon date. Athereum is 99%Ethereum and 1% AVA. Using the same keys, contracts, and tooling you are already using. Metamask, MEW, Remix, all are working out of the box. With this new implementation, we want to show the world that Ethereum is capable of scaling today with existing technology. With collaboration between communities, we can work together to push the evolution of blockchain technology through research and innovation. We are here to answer all your questions. Ask us anything. Of course not! testnet cryptocurrencies are the same. My address is not working. Are testnet addresses different than real ones? Yes, in bitcoin an address begins with "1" or "3", in testnet bitcoin an address begins with "m" or "2". In the case of Ethereum both addresses can be used, but you can't transfer ether from Rinkeby to the real network. Detailed version below: Ropsten. PoW testnet; History: Started in November 2016. Named after a subway station in Stockholm. Was DoS attacked in February 2017 which made synching slow and made clients consume a lot of disk space.; Was revived in March 2017 and became usable again.; Pros: Best reproduces the current production environment, i.e. system and network conditions on the live Ethereum ... Morden was the first Ethereum testnet. It was shut down in November 2016 due to a variety of attacks and a lot of junk data having been accumulated in its blockchain making it unsustainable disk-space-wise. Some differences between the Geth and Parity implementation also contributed to the shutdown. It was superseded by Ropsten. Private Test The Mist browser is an Electron based desktop application to load and interact with Ethereum enabled third party web DApps. Beside all the functionality provided by the Ethereum Wallet, Mist is an extended web-browser where loaded pages have access to the Ethereum network via a web3.js provider, and may also interact with users' own accounts (given proper authorization and confirmation of course). The Ethereum 2.0 testnet Spadina launched with no major issues and blocks were handled successfully But there were issues of finality or the guarantee that past transactions will never change The ...
